Linie Design was founded in 1980 by Keld Agerskov and Hugo Anthon to merge Danish design with traditional Indian craftsmanship. Inspired by a 1979 Copenhagen rug exhibition, the company challenged the idea that handcrafted rugs had to follow oriental aesthetics, instead embracing Nordic minimalism and uncompromising quality. Today, owners Jesper Christiansen and Kenneth Nielsen continue this legacy, collaborating with Danish textile designers like Head of Design Urd Moll Gundermann.
